Introduction

They comes from Beijing, China. Members are ten(bass), isis(guitar), Da Pang Xie(drum). They joined Miniless Recordings in 2008. Influenced by bands like Acid Mothers Temple, Keiji Haino, Marble Sheep and Gong, their music sounds more like a mysterious combination of neo-psychedelic, noise/experimental-rock and traditional eastern-asia music. This mystery also comes from their worship to certain kind of pagandom and distorted religions. They always liked to create enormous psychedelic soundscapes from improvisation and bring the audience into hypnosis then wake them up constantly. This surrealistic experience is certainly a reflection of their feelings of music and the outer world of themselves.

History

On August 26th, 2010, Chui Wan, Acoelomate Goat, and Birdstriking performed at the D-22. According to Pangbianr: Acoelomate Goat is billed as neo-psych, but it’s clear that this trio is dedicated to cultivating themselves as a Consummate Rock Band. Guitar wailing, heavy drumming, a little bit of wah-wah, and a whole lot of bobbing back and forth produced a feeling not too often experienced in Beijing. It was a little house show, a little garage band, a bit of grandiose rock star grinding through songs that each lasted for upwards of five minutes. The crowd was sold, though, and earnest foot tapping rung out throughout the land. [1]
