Chengdu

Chengdu (Chinese: 成都; pinyin: Chéngdū; Wade-Giles: Ch'eng-tu), located in southwest People's Republic of China, is the capital of Sichuan province and a sub-provincial city. Chengdu is also one of the most important economic centers and transportation and communication hubs in Southwestern China. According to the 2007 Public Appraisal for Best Chinese Cities for Investment, Chengdu was chosen as one of the top ten cities to invest in, out of a total of 280 urban centers.

January 18, 1997, the Little Bar opens its gates in Chengdu, establishing itself as the center of Chengdu rock.

Beeline (or: 3LT) was formed sometime in 2000.
2001
July: The band Chaoshengzhe de Beipan renames itself to Soundtoy.
November: The band Xiu Luo renames itself to Ashura.
2002
January 17th and 18th the Little Bar hosts their 5th anniversary festival.
June: The compilation record "Little Bar Live 1997-2002" was recorded.
August 2nd, "Little Bar Live 1997-2002" release party in the Little Bar Chengdu.
In the later half of the year Dim Nova is formed and they produce their first demo until the end of the year.
2003
August: Proximity Butterfly is formed.
2004
April: Dim Nova's record Face the Sea (Dim Nova) is released. Furthermore the compilation record Underground Chengdu 3 (VA) is released.
2005
January 15th, the Little Bar holds a beneficiary relief concert called We are together for the victims of the Asian Tsunami that year.
In March, a DVD of the recorded We are together event at the Little Bar is released.
2006
At the beginning of 2006, Armissan is formed.
2009
May 1st-3rd, the 2009 Zebra Music Festival happened.
