Jianghu Bar, 江湖酒吧 (jiang hu jiu ba) one of the finest small Folk live venues in Beijing
Introduction
Jianghu, which literally translates to "rivers and lakes," is often used in fiction writing referring to all environments and every corner of the world.
This bar, located near the Hutong area of Nan Luo Gu Xiang. The place is made of a tiny Beijing court yard with two rooms and a mini yard inbetween. On the one corner of the bigger room there is a small stage for live music. Inspite of it's unusual size for music venues, the sound and show quality is pretty good actually. It's a haven for music lovers from all over the world. The bar offers an authentic music environment, cheap drinks and band performances every night.
Anything from Blues and Jazz, to Rocknroll as well as experimental and folk music can be heard here regularly Jiang Hu is located at east end the Dongmianhua Hutong.
