MAO Shanghai is not directly affiliated with M.A.O. in Beijing but shares a Japanese investor, Bad News Records. MAO Shanghai is managed by Soma Records, specifically by Yan Yang (drummer of Sonnet).
History
At the weekend 25th-27th March 2011, the Mao Livehouse opened at their new location near ChongQing Lu and Jianguo Lu.[1]
