Dieser Sampler gibt einen kleinen Überblick über das, was sich in Chinas Metal-Szene tut: vorwiegend ganz Hartes, aber nie unter Normalnull, was das Niveau angeht: Aufmachung, Produktion, mediale Inszenierung der Bands (Info im Booklet, wenn man es lesen kann) sowie instrumentale Fähigkeiten entsprechen durchweg internationalem Niveau
FAZIT: Wertiger Sampler als Nabelschau der beeindruckend konkurrenzfähigen China-Szene, der jedoch noch die ureigene Handschrift abgeht. Weshalb sperren sich asiatische Bands eigentlich so oft vor den musikalischen Wurzeln ihrer Heimat? Hat der politische Überbau ihnen die Schönheit der Landschaft und ihre reichhaltige Kultur derart vergällt?
